- If it turns over and wont start, it could be your plug. Take plug out of the head, connect the lead and cap to it, ground it on the head. Turn it over, if you do not see a spark, change the plug. If with new plug it does not spark while grounded on the head, it could be other things. Then it could be a broken wire.

Loose battery cables/not making a good connection - clean the wires and terminals with a wire brush (including the ground wire attached to the frame/engine) - then tighten... I am working on a friends Yamaha that was sitting for 4 months. I have replaced the old oil and fuel that was in the bike. When I go to turn the bike on, everything powers normally. However, it won't turnover. What could be some main causes to this? I have checked the fuses already.
