RTG Gun Parts Personally, I would get a "ready" receiver, as spot welding the G3 receiver, and having sight, shelf & cocking tube aligned would be a tad more complex than scrounging together an AK.
- Zachary, yes the majority of CETME rifles will. A few CETME's will have tight mag wells which will cause slightly out of spec German HK91 straight mags to not seat fully (you will have to slightly dremel the top sides of the mag) so the bolt will strip the top round. I have a CETME and had to do this to only two out of 10 HK91 Mags.
- Apr 05, 2011 · The G3 and CETME take the same mags, and I think that is a CETME mag since it's curved. The early models of the G3 and all the CETME variants did use wood furniture, but the giveaway for a G3 is the rear sight, only H&K guns (and clones thereof) used the rotating drum sight.

- The CETME has a bit of a reputation for being cheap but this relatively unbattered example feels solid enough. Both of the rifles disassemble in much the same way with the butt assembly being removed to allow the bolt to be pulled out of the rear. Most notable about the CETME's bolt is the long rod protruding out the back of the bolt assembly.

As with the delayed roller used in the later CETME, G3, and SG 510 rifles, a side effect of the roller locking system was to eliminate most of the weapon's oscillation and muzzle rise, which enabled gunners to send a tremendous amount of bullets down-range with reasonable accuracy.

Jan 29, 2008 · Century built the CETME and G3/C91 on the same stamped receiver shell. Cetme got the Cetme rear sight base, G3 got the G3 sight base. In my opinion, you only have a parts kit with either. The biggest problem aside from the ground bolts on the Cetme and mismatched rollers on both guns (from time to time), is how they were welded together. It has better ergonomics, weighs less, and runs cleaner. The HK G3A3 stock is not adjustable for user size. Reaching the safety with your right thumb is a stretch.
